FAQ
Common questions.
Do you work with clients outside of Seattle?
+
Yes — Skyline is a remote-first firm and serves real estate professionals and investors across the entire US. Everything is handled virtually through secure shared tools, email, and video calls.
What does "custom services" actually mean?
+
It means we don't sell you a pre-packaged tier. Every client engagement starts with a discovery call where we learn about your business — your volume, your goals, what's falling through the cracks. From there we design a scope of work specifically around what you need. No services you don't use, no gaps where you're left on your own.
Do you handle tax preparation?
+
Tax filing is not a service we provide directly. Our focus is accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. However, we work closely with your CPA or tax preparer and ensure your books are clean, categorized, and ready for tax time — making their job (and your bill) significantly easier.
How do you handle construction loans and draw packages?
+
This is a specialty of ours. We track costs against your loan budget, prepare draw request documentation, and ensure the numbers are accurate and organized for your lender's review. Whether you have one active project or several, we can manage the reporting cadence your lender requires.
What software do you use?
+
We primarily work in QuickBooks Online, which is the standard for real estate accounting. We can also work in other platforms depending on your setup. If you're currently using spreadsheets or nothing at all, we'll get you set up properly from the start.
How quickly can you get started?
+
After our discovery call, we'll outline a service agreement and onboarding plan. Most clients are up and running within 1–2 weeks. If there's a time-sensitive need — a loan application, an investor meeting — let us know and we'll prioritize accordingly.
Do you offer pricing on your website?
+
No — and intentionally so. Because every client's needs are different, we don't believe a flat rate reflects the value of what we do. Pricing is discussed after we understand your scope. What we can tell you: it's competitive, transparent, and tied directly to what you're getting.
My books are a mess. Is that okay?
+
That's exactly who we're built for. Behind books are one of the most common reasons clients come to us. We'll assess where things stand, determine what cleanup is needed, and get your financials in order — then keep them that way going forward.
What if I'm a newer real estate professional, not a seasoned investor?
+
We work with professionals at all stages — from first-time investors to large portfolio operators. What matters is that you're serious about your business and ready for a real accounting partner. If you're just starting out and not quite ready for ongoing services, reach out anyway — we'll point you in the right direction.
